1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 This supplement details temporary operational changes at Tirana International Airport (LATI) due to the ongoing runway extension works. This phase of work is expected to continue until 31 December 2025. This supplement supersedes any previous information regarding the runway extension works and remains in effect until that date or as amended by NOTAM.
1.2 Civil works will be carried out for the extension of runway in view of the Airfield Code E Readiness Project Phase II.
2. PURPOSE
2.1 The purpose of this AIRAC AIP Supplement is to notify the aircraft operators about operating restrictions at LATI during the runway extension works.
2.2 Works are intended 24/7 unless otherwise notified by NOTAM.
3. OPERATING RESTRICTIONS
3.1 During the runway extension works, as provided in Appendix 1, the following limitations are in effect:
- ILS RWY 17 U/S due to Localizer (LOC) antenna removal.
- ILS or LOC RWY 17 approach procedure is not available.
- Approach lighting system RWY 35 is not available.
- The RESA dimensions for RWY 17 are 90 x 90 m.
4. IMPLEMENTATION
4.1 This AIRAC AIP Supplement will be applicable throughout the entire runway extension works.
4.2 Pilots are advised to exercise caution and refer to the latest NOTAMs for any further updates or changes.
